The Angle Vale Football & Netball Club was re-established in 1998 as a junior football club. As the area of Angle Vale has grown, so has the club. We compete across four leagues with over five hundred participants making up some thirty-five teams with ages ranging from 7-50. In 2008 we entered two senior men’s teams into the Adelaide footy league competition and in 2016 we transitioned to the Adelaide Plains League with 2 senior men’s, a senior & junior colts’ team as well as U8’s and U11 mixed teams. We also introduced netball into the Adelaide Plains Netball Association in 2022 with some 100+ players. Our senior women have been competing in the Adelaide Footy League for over 10 years and recently won the Division 3 grand final. We are striving to be a destination club for women’s and girls footy and have seen some great talent come through having players drafted to the AFLW and several players playing at the SANFL level. Our SANFL juniors’ competition is growing year after year and in 2025 we increased the number of girls teams bringing the total teams to 17 in 2025. The Angle Vale Football & Netball Club strives to provide opportunities for everyone in our community to participate in healthy, safe, and inclusive football & netball activities in a fun and family orientated environment. The club is managed by dedicated volunteer staff, all of whom tirelessly provide their skills, time, and assistance to ensure the club can offer a variety of structured programs. Located within the Angle Vale Sports and Community Association complex on Fradd Rd, the club continues to attract exposure and interest with multiple sporting options with football, cricket, netball and soccer competitions. For a considerable number of new families relocating into the northern area, the Angle Vale Football & Netball Club continues to be a popular option offering a wide range of opportunities.
