The Glencoe Recreation Reserve is located just north of the Village of Glencoe on the western side of the New England Highway. Glencoe is located 20km south of Glen Innes and 92km north of Armidale of the New England Tablelands. The Reserve has high volumes of arterial traffic passing-by including traffic between Brisbane and Sydney. This location is ideal to attract visitors including travellers looking for a safe rest stop, caravaners/ campers, locals for recreational uses such as picnics, and competitors and spectators for events such as campdrafts, dog trials (sheep and cattle).
