Training Ship Australia (TS Australia) is a unit of the Australian Navy Cadets (ANC), a nationally recognised youth development program supported by the Royal Australian Navy. The ANC provides young people aged 13–18 with opportunities to build leadership, teamwork, confidence and practical life skills through maritime activities, adventure-based learning and structured leadership development. Based in Western Sydney, TS Australia is one of the largest and most diverse units in the organisation, with strong representation from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and high female participation. Our unit is proudly cadet-led and focused on creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where young people can grow, challenge themselves and develop lifelong skills and friendships. Adult volunteers support cadets through mentoring, administration, training, logistics and wellbeing. We welcome volunteers from all professional and personal backgrounds — no military experience is required.
