About Vinnies Support Centres

Vinnies Support Centres (VSCs) are warm and welcoming places operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (Vinnies). We provide face-to-face support, referrals, and a range of assistance to individuals and families in the community experiencing hardship.

Our VSCs offer practical assistance whether people are in need of financial support, food, essential items, help navigating services, or simply someone to talk to. We’re here to support the path to stability and wellbeing to our local community.

Role Overview

In this role, you will provide administrative and data entry support while warmly welcoming people to the Centre, answering calls, booking appointments and client support. You will work alongside other volunteers and Conference members.

We are looking for friendly and organised volunteers who enjoy assisting others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration and data entry duties
  • Client support duties
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with our policies and procedures
  • Upholding confidentiality and privacy at all times
  • Respect and work within the ethos of St Vincent de Paul Society NSW

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good listening and problem-solving skills
  • You are comfortable using computers and are willing to learn new systems
  • You can engage with people from diverse backgrounds in a non judgemental and welcoming way.
  • Adherence to our WHS requirements
  • Adherence to St Vincent de Paul NSW policies and procedures
