Nutcote is the former historic home and garden of May Gibbs, Australia’s foremost children’s author and illustrator, best known for The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. Now a house museum, Nutcote’s daily operations are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers.

Gift Shop volunteers are the first point of contact with our visitors. They process admissions and product sales, provide information to visitors, answer telephone enquiries and assist with a various tasks related to the gift shop.

Full training provided. We are looking at a 6-month minimum commitment for this position.

Duties include:

• Welcoming visitors to Nutcote House

• Processing ticket and retail sales

• Maintaining shop displays

• Assisting with various tasks associated with the physical and online shop

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent communications skills

• Well presented

• Previous retail experience desirable, not essential

• Reliable.
