Our English Tuition Program provides a safe and supportive learning environment where students can participate in activities that develop their English language skills. It’s not just language, it’s learning about each other’s cultures and strengthening social cohesion within our local community.

As an English Tutor Volunteer, some of your key responsibilities would include:

• Practicing English conversation and working with students to understand English within our community.

• Assist and encourage students in the learning process.

• Assessing students strengths and weaknesses, developing ways to help them improve their English.

• Formal English teaching skills are not required however this opportunity will require patience, good listening skills and willingness to support people from the CALD community

• Liaise with the English Tuition Program Coordinator on student’s attendance, support needs, goals, satisfaction and outcomes
