Training

Initial Volunteer Induction Course with ongoing Volunteer Training and Support

Time required

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor commits and shares their time establishing a long term friendship with an older person (care recipient). Visits are one hour a fortnight as a minimum, however weekly visits are strongly encouraged. Volunteer visits are flexible and supportive with no nursing or personal care involved.

Requirements

National Police Certificate

National Police check fee is covered by Linked Community Services Copy of vehicle registration and insurance papers if applicable Volunteers must be over 18 years of age
