Our primary goal is to enable individuals who require assistance to maintain their independence and continue living in the comfort of their own homes.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Treasurer to join our dynamic Board of Directors. This is a volunteer role for a Treasurer to play a to play an important role for our organisation, assisting to set the financial direction and strategy for the organisation.

Position Overview The Treasurer is a crucial member of the Board of Directors responsible for overseeing the financial management and reporting of MWP Community Care. As the treasurer, you will play a vital role and participate actively to ensure the financial stability, transparency, and accountability of the organisation. Collaborating with other board members and executive staff, your expertise in finance and accounting will contribute to the board's decision-making process and overall governance of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with the board and executive team to develop the organisation's financial strategies, goals, and budgets. • Assist in the review and analysis of the annual budget ensuring alignment with the organisation's objectives and priorities. • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support effective resource allocation and financial planning. • Interpret the financial reporting presented to the Board that is presented at Board meetings and at the Annual General Meeting. • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and organisational policies is in place, highlighting the organisation's financial performance, risks, and opportunities. • Advise the board on potential financial risks and recommend appropriate risk management measures.   Skills and Qualifications • Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting. • Good communication skills • CPA desired but not essential
