Volunteer Assessment and Placement Officers (Voluntary)

Key responsibilities:
- Assessment: Talking with people online/in person about their hopes for volunteering and assessing suitable volunteer roles that match their time, interest and skills.
- Admin: Documenting assessment notes, updating volunteer forms, recording referrals, and tracking communication with volunteers regarding volunteering opportunities and check-ins. -Research: Finding volunteer opportunities that are suitable for the volunteers and identifying the referral pathways -Support: Assisting volunteers in contacting organisations, applying for opportunities, helping with compliance checks, etc.
You will be assisting to engage a new volunteering workforce for the future. We will provide you with training and support in the role. You can do from 1-2 hours a week/fortnight/month. You can work it around your time commitments as long as it's a regular commitment for up to 6 months. You don't have to live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne for this role. We will assist you with getting the checks you need to be a volunteer with EV.
