Camp Footloose is a unique overnight camp experience for children and young people aged 9–18 living with juvenile arthritis.

The camp provides an opportunity for young people to connect with others facing similar challenges, build confidence and independence, participate in exciting outdoor activities, make lasting friendships, and learn more about managing their condition in a supportive environment.

The Arthritis Movement is currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Volunteer Leaders to support the delivery of this incredible program.

About the Role: As a Volunteer Leader, you will work alongside our experienced staff and team leaders to support campers throughout a range of exciting sport and recreation activities including rock climbing, kayaking, raft building and camp-cookouts.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Support campers to safely participate in activities and camp programs
• Encourage social inclusion, participation and confidence-building
• Assist staff with supervision and group management
• Foster a fun, welcoming and supportive camp environment
• Work collaboratively with staff and fellow volunteers.

• Location: Point Wolstoncroft Sport and Recreation Centre
• Accommodation and meals are provided for all volunteers during camp.
