This is based in Wesley Mission Seniors Social Hub - Tuggerah.

We're looking for kind and compassionate people who can bring friendship, kindness and joy to an isolated older person in your community.

The Hub is a place where older people who are socially isolated, frail or living with dementia can experience social connections in a friendly, warm environment.

What's Involved?

You would need:

• an excellent listening ear and love a good chat
• the ability to engage in and encourage social interactions
• patience, empathy and the capacity to learn from others
• a hobby, skill or gift to share with others would be wonderful e.g. playing an instrument, scrapbooking, craft, flower arranging etc
• general admin skills would also be a bonus
• Cert IV in aged care or community services is preferred but not required

This is a great opportunity for anyone who genuinely wants to enrich the lives of our aging clients in a supported community setting.

As a volunteer in this role you would be supported by a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator from Wesley Mission.
