Stem Cell Donors Australia

About the Program:

As a University Ambassador, you'll help lead a peer-to-peer recruitment movement on your campus, encouraging students to join the Stem Cell Donors Australia registry – the country’s only registry for volunteer stem cell donors. Blood stem cell transplants can save lives, and the need for young, healthy donors (aged 18-35) is greater than ever. Your efforts will directly help grow this life-saving registry and give patients a fighting chance.

  • Peer-to-Peer Engagement: Engage with your fellow students, promoting the cause via social media, campus clubs, and student organisations. - Collaborative Campaigns: Work with a team of ambassadors from your university, with ongoing support and mentorship from Stem Cell Donors Australia.

  • Develop Key Skills: Learn vital skills in project planning, event management, marketing, and leadership. Gain experience that will set you apart in your future career.

What You’ll Receive:

  • Comprehensive Training: Learn from experts and gain hands-on experience in event planning, marketing, and donor recruitment.

  • Ongoing Mentorship: Access to continuous guidance from experienced mentors to help you grow personally and professionally.

  • Resources and Support: Receive all the tools you need, including promotional materials and event kits, to run successful campaigns.

  • Recognition & CV Benefits: Receive a certificate and reference letter for your work. Plus, top performers will be recognised with awards.

  • Flexibility: Balance your studies and your passion for doing good with flexible involvement and support.

  • Networking Opportunities: Build connections with like-minded students across the country, united by a shared mission.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Passionate, driven students who want to make a difference.

  • Excellent communicators who are eager to engage with their peers.

  • Students who are organised and able to manage time effectively.

  • People who are enthusiastic about gaining skills in leadership, event planning, and marketing.
