Bush regenerators - Sugarloaf Hill Bushcare Group - first Saturday of the month

Friends of Lane Cove National Park Inc.

Logo for Friends of Lane Cove National Park Inc.

This is good bushland, so efforts are focused mostly on improvement rather than eradication, so there are more opportunities for learning native species rather than simply weeds. Experience is not necessary. You will receive on the spot training and can attend periodic workshops. It is an opportunity to meet people with similar interests, as well as learning about the natural, cultural and historical heritage of Lane Cove National Park.

Benefits for bushcare volunteers include: •A chance to make a positive difference to our environment •New friends with similar interests •Exercise •Training •Work experience •Free entry into NSW National Parks •Newsletter and formal recognition

The group meets at the start Sugarloaf Point trail at 201 Pittwater Rd, East Ryde at 8.30 am on the first Saturday of each month. Work is until 11.30am, with a break for morning tea.

Park on Pittwater Rd just south of the Rene Street roundabout.

Wear long sleeves, long pants, strong shoes and a hat. Bring sunscreen and water.
