Bingo Volunteer Opportunity

Key Duties

Bingo Caller: Lead our Bingo sessions by clearly announcing numbers, verifying winning cards, and creating an engaging atmosphere for all participants * Offside Support: Assist with money handling during ticket sales, maintain accurate paperwork, distribute prizes to winners, and provide general support during sessions * Session Setup/Cleanup: Help prepare the venue before sessions and tidy up afterward * Attend sessions: Monday and Friday mornings, and Thursday evenings (volunteer for one or multiple sessions based on your availability)

Skills and Experience

No prior Bingo experience required - comprehensive training provided for all roles * Friendly and patient demeanour with people of all ages * Basic numeracy skills for handling money and tracking numbers * Clear speaking voice (especially for caller position) * Reliability and punctuality * Ability to work as part of a team * Enthusiasm and a positive attitude

Fairhaven Services is a respected not-for-profit organisation with deep roots in the Central Coast community. Founded in 1962 by a group of dedicated parents seeking educational options for their children with intellectual disabilities, Fairhaven began as a school when mainstream education was not accessible to all. Over the decades, Fairhaven has evolved into a comprehensive social enterprise dedicated to supporting people living with disability to achieve their life aspirations. Today, Fairhaven offers community participation programs, social skills development, employment opportunities, accommodation and living supports, as well as operating an Australian Disability Enterprise at Tuggerah.

Our Bingo sessions play an important role in fundraising support for our various programs.
