Are you passionate about live music and love discovering what’s happening in your community?

As a Gig Research Volunteer, you’ll help us build the most complete and up‑to‑date gig guide in Victoria. As part of our small, friendly team, you’ll help us uncover, verify, and list every gig happening in your assigned “patch” each week. You’ll gradually build relationships with local venues and artists, becoming the go‑to person for what’s happening in your area.

Your research feeds directly into multiple platforms, helping us maintain the most complete and accessible gig guide for all Victorians.

What You’ll Do

• Research and record upcoming gigs in your allocated region
• Build connections and communicate with venues and artists.
• Enter gig information into our admin system with accuracy and care
• Help keep Victoria’s live music ecosystem thriving by ensuring fans can easily find shows.

What You’ll Need

• Passion for live music and local culture

• Confidence using Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Drive, basic Excel skills)

• Good attention to detail

• Ideally, you’ll live in or near the area you’re researching, as local knowledge helps build stronger venue and artist connections.

Time Commitment

1.5–3 hours per week, depending on the activity. (Flexible)
