Elm Street Mission provides a safe and inclusive gathering place to support people with mental health issues and/or who are socially isolated.

Volunteer Duties#

• Attend Working Group meetings and progress action items recorded in the meeting action list.
• Consider the perspectives of others in the group.
• Display leadership through engaging proactively and productively in discussions and assisting in identifying solutions.
• Work in line with Elm St Mission’s strategic plan.
• Develop a community engagement plan with Elm St Mission’s Program Coordinator and the Working Group.
• Report concerns to the Convenor.

Qualifications & Requirements#

• Drive and commitment: Able to identify opportunities and report to the Program Coordinator and Working Group.
• Strong organisational skills: Able to manage tasks independently and report in a timely manner.
• Relationship development: Able to create relationships on behalf of Elm St Mission guided by its mission and values.
• Previous experience working in community services, fundraising or interfaith networks (preferred).
