Receiving a friendly social phone call can make all the difference in the world to an elderly person who is socially isolated due to illness, frailty and mobility issues. As a Phone Call Volunteer, you will be "matched" to one selected client. Your phone calls can provide a window to the outside world for someone who can't get out and about. Having a chat with a familiar voice on the phone can be the highlight of a client's day. Volunteers ring clients on a weekly or fortnightly basis according to client request, on a day and a time which suits both volunteer and client. Phone Call Volunteering is convenient and flexible.
