Proveda, a not-for-profit community organisation, believes that kindness and community will make a difference in many people’s lives. This program is designed to connect volunteers with people in the community who are over 65 living with a life changing diagnosis. The aim is to build their social and practical networks, ultimately enabling them to remain at home in the Community for longer.
Additional requirements: Completion of the Complimentary Connector Training Program (dates run throughout the year) followed by an onboarding process, which includes a free Police Check.
Time Required: Flexible to suit your schedule.
Training: Full Complimentary Compassionate Connector training is provided (dates run throughout the year) Register for next training group the link will be provided in the return email you will receive when expressing interest in this role online.
Tasks and responsibilities: Provide companionship and social support to recipients facing a life limiting illness in your community. Identify the additional practical supports recipients may require from within their local community. Engaging the recipient’s family, friends, neighbours or other members of the community who are willing to help without expectation of payment.

Volunteers also receive ongoing support throughout the year from our dedicated Program Coordinator which enables the Volunteer to build confidence to deliver expert social care and support.
