Bee-Hive Early Learning Program – Children’s Play Session Volunteer
About the Role Join our vibrant Bee-Hive Early Learning Program and help create a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment for pre-school aged children (0–5 years) and their families. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone energetic, creative, and passionate about early childhood development to contribute to a lively weekly play session held in a community setting.
Key Duties
- Actively engage children (0–5 years) through play-based learning activities
- Lead or participate in singing, dancing, storytelling, and dress-up activities
- Interact warmly with parents, grandparents, and carers to create an inclusive environment
- Support the smooth running of each session alongside the Child, Youth and Family team
- Assist with setting up and packing down activities
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful space for all participants
- Communicate any concerns or feedback to the program coordinator
- Follow CCA NSW policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Skills & Experience Required
- Passion for working with young children and families
- Energetic, friendly, and confident personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage a diverse community in a public setting
- Skills or interest in singing, dancing, storytelling, or creative play
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team
- Reliable and punctual
Desirable:
- Ability to speak English, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin
- Experience in early childhood, community programs, or volunteering
Mandatory Requirements:
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) (Volunteer)
- National Police Check
- Registered Volunteer with CCA NSW

Additional Requirements / How to Apply
- Availability on Thursdays (10:15am – 11:45am) (excluding public holidays)
