Liverpool City Council facilitates a growing range of events to engage our local community. Events focus on celebrating our diverse cultural identities, citizenship, and building connections in our city.

We are developing a range of volunteer activities to help promote and facilitate events and civic engagement. We are looking for volunteers who are available during weekdays OR evenings OR weekends. Volunteers will join an Expression of Interest (EOI) list to be invited to join opportunities that fit with their availability and interests.

Events and promotion volunteers like meeting new people and care about making sure everyone is involved. These roles are a great opportunity to be part of important activities in the Liverpool LGA and to get to know your local community.

Role responsibilities:

• Distributing material to promote Liverpool City Council events and inform residents about LCC initiatives.

• Assisting with public programs preparation/ bump in/out. (set up, program materials preparation, packing away)

• Assisting with public programs under close supervision.

• Assisting attendees at events with general information and wayfinding.

• Conducting basic surveys, crowd counts, and recording engagement.

• The time commitment to be less than 15 hours per week.

Skills:

• Great communication skills and the ability to relate to other people in the community

• Volunteers who can speak other community languages are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications: No formal qualification requirement. Volunteers who are studying topics including events, communications, retail & hospitality, and community services may find this role helps develop relevant skills.
