The HammondCare Volunteer Program offers a beautiful way to bring warmth, connection, and companionship to an older person right here in Wahroonga 🏡✨.

We are seeking a kind, Italian‑speaking volunteer to spend time with an elderly resident who would truly treasure conversation in their own language. A friendly visit over a cuppa and a chat ☕💬, or—when the weather is kind—a gentle walk around the grounds 🌿🚶‍♀️ with a stop at the onsite café, can mean more than words can express.

Your presence, your language, and your heart can brighten someone’s day in the most meaningful way 💖.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
