About Us

Inner West Meals on Wheels (CABL Inc) delivers nutritious meals to older and frail people across the Burwood, Strathfield, Ashfield and Canada Bay LGA’s, helping them maintain independence at home. We’re looking for friendly and reliable Drivers to deliver meals with the help of a Runner/Helper and provide a friendly check-in to clients.

Location: Concord (Pick up food eskys from Concord 2137) – Delivery areas: Burwood, Strathfield, Ashfield, Canada Bay areas

Days/Times: Monday to Friday, approx. 10:30am – 12:30pm (2 hours per shift)

About the Role

We’re looking for friendly and reliable Volunteer Meal Delivery Drivers to join our dedicated team in Burwood, Strathfield, Ashfield and Canada Bay areas. You’ll play an important role in delivering meals (alongside a Helper/Runner) to clients in the local area, ensuring they receive both a nutritious meal and a friendly check-in.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect eskies containing pre-packed meal bags from our Concord office at 10:30am
• Deliver meals to clients with the assistance of a Helper
• Follow the provided Run Sheet to ensure accurate deliveries
• Return eskies and report any client wellbeing concerns to staff
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards
• Deliveries are typically completed within 1–2 hours, Monday to Friday

Skills & Experience Required

• Ability to find client addresses from the Run Sheet
• Friendly and reliable

Recruitment & Checks

• Phone interview and reference checks
• Your own car (travel reimbursement available)
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Current Police Check and Working With Children Check
• Current car registration and insurance
• Ability to navigate routes and follow instructions
• Induction/training provided
