About the Role

Inner West Meals on Wheels (CABL Inc) delivers nutritious meals to older and frail people across the Burwood, Strathfield, Ashfield and Canada Bay LGA’s, helping them maintain independence at home. We’re looking for friendly and reliable Volunteer Runners / Helpers to assist our Drivers in delivering meals and providing a friendly check-in to clients.

Location: Concord (Pick up food eskys from Concord 2137) – Delivery areas: Burwood, Strathfield, Ashfield, Canada Bay areas

Days/Times: Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 12:30pm (approx. 2 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Drivers in finding addresses and following the Run Sheet
• Deliver meals to clients alongside a Driver
• Collect eskys packed with ready-to-deliver meal bags from our Concord office at 10:30am
• Deliveries are typically completed within 1–2 hours, Monday to Friday
• Return eskies and report any client wellbeing concerns to staff
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Ability to assist a Driver in following the Run Sheet
• Friendly and reliable
• Recruitment & Checks
• Phone interview and reference checks
• Current Police Check
• Current Working With Children Check
• Induction/training provided
