Training

Yes, we have awesome training! and a dedicated volunteer coordinator to support you every step of the way! We have a face to face half day orientation, Fantastic online professional development training and peer support at our AWESOME Clubs and Events too! Plus, there is an afterhours phone number to Extended Families Disability qualified staff- so you are always supported!

Time required

This is negotiable and flexible. Some of our volunteers spend quality time with our participants once a week, fortnightly or monthly for 1 to 4+ hours a session. It depends on your availability. All we ask is sincere communication and reliability and that you stay on our books for at least 1 year.

This is a volunteer service and is unpaid

Requirements

A big heart. Sincere. Caring. Kind. Fun loving. You will need a Working with children's check (Volunteer level/free) You will also need a NDIS check (Volunteer level/free) and you will need to have done the NDIS Workers orientation model training (free to do) and if you have lived overseas for longer than 12 months in the last 10 years you will also need a international police check. Other than that -references/ a cv/ and 100 points of ID. We will give you training and support!
