🔥Monthly BBQ Assistant – Waratah or Cardiff Residential Care (Tue 11–1:30pm)🔥

🔥🍔 BBQ Assistant – Waratah or Cardiff (Tuesdays 11–1:30pm)
We’re on the lookout for someone with a warm smile, a steady pair of tongs, and a willingness to share a few laughs at our Waratah or Cardiff aged care homes — whichever is closest to you.
As our BBQ Assistant, you’ll help fire up the grill, serve up some top‑notch sausages, and enjoy the easy banter that comes with a good backyard‑style cook‑up. A quick food‑safety training session is required (we like our snags sizzling, not risky), and an openness to friendly chat goes a long way.
It’s a true meat n’ greet — you bring the grill skills, we’ll bring the crowd (and the coleslaw). And don’t worry, you won’t be grilled by the residents… unless you burn the onions, then all bets are off.
Come flip some snags, flip some jokes, and help turn Tuesdays into the highlight of the week.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
HammondCare
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.
