Oakdene House Foundation is seeking friendly and reliable volunteers to assist in our Community Kitchen and Clothing Services programs in Fairfield. Our Community Kitchen provides a welcoming space where people can enjoy a hot meal, access fresh produce, and connect with staff, volunteers, and community supports. Kitchen volunteers may assist with: • Serving hot lunches to community members (eat-in or takeaway) • Preparing breakfast packs, fresh fruit bags, bread and butter packs • Setting up water stations and serving areas • Meal preparation, serving, and light kitchen clean-up • Packing fresh produce into bags for distribution • Creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all visitors *For food safety purposes, kitchen volunteers are required to wear gloves and an apron while on shift. These will be provided by Oakdene House Foundation. *Please note that this role does not involve cooking. Friday kitchen shifts focus on sorting and packing fresh produce in a fast-paced environment to ensure food is ready for distribution to the community.

Clothing Services volunteers may assist with: • Sorting donated clothing and accessories • Organising items by size and category • Displaying and replenishing clothing stock • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming clothing area • Assisting community members to access suitable clothing items • General housekeeping and organisation of the clothing space. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires volunteers to remain actively engaged throughout their shift. No prior experience is required—just a positive attitude, a willingness to help, and a commitment to treating all community members with dignity and respect. Training and support will be provided. 📍 Location: Fairfield NSW ⏰ Volunteer Shifts: Kitchen: • Tuesday–Thursday: 11:30am–2:00pm • Friday: 11:00am–1:00pm Clothing Services: • Tuesday–Thursday: 12:00pm–2:00pm • Occasional Monday and Friday shifts may also be available.

Flexible commitment – volunteers can choose one or more shifts.
