Dingo Den Animal Rescue and our sister organisation Flocking Adorable work together under shared leadership and a commitment to high animal welfare standards. Dingo Den Animal Rescue is a registered charity established in 2014, providing rescue and rehoming services, advocacy and lifetime care at our sanctuary to vulnerable Australian wildlife species. Flocking Adorable is a livestock rescue and working farm established in 2018, offering animal support services to livestock owners, and eco-friendly land management services to property caretakers.

Volunteers may apply to contribute within these environments and are allocated based on experience, suitability and organisational need.

The Role We are seeking experienced, reliable volunteers to join our Animal Husbandry team. This is hands-on, practical work within active farm and sanctuary environments. The role involves routine care of property and animals. Our environments operate within clear procedures and direction to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our animals, properties and volunteers.

Responsibilities • Grounds care and general property upkeep • Maintaining enclosures, paddocks and animal care equipment • Working with fencing systems and farm equipment • Collecting, preparing and distributing feed and water • Monitoring animal wellbeing • Observing, reporting and implementing basic vet care

Experience Required Applicants must have prior hands-on experience in at least one of the following: • Land management (vegetation clearing, landscaping, horticulture or professional gardening) • Driving car trailers • Livestock care / farm management • Wildlife care / sanctuary management • Veterinary nursing or structured animal care
