Canterbury Community Centre’s Garden Care Service (4Cs) Garden Care program assists elderly residents with their gardens, aiming to create low-maintenance outdoor spaces that allow older individuals to keep living at home independently.

How It Works:

Experienced staff guide volunteers with essential gardening tasks such as weeding, mulching, pruning and ensuring safety in the garden. Training on the proper and safe use of tools will also be provided.

Schedule:

Volunteers are needed on weekday mornings from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. in the Canterbury Bankstown and Inner West areas. We provide you the location every week.

Location:

Gardens of residents located in the Canterbury Bankstown and Inner West suburbs of Sydney.

Who Can Join Us?

We welcome people aged 18+ who have an interest in gardening. Volunteers can join us once a week, every fortnight, or once a month—whatever fits your schedule!

Please note that you will need to arrange your own transport to and from the gardens, but we offer reimbursement after a certain number of sessions.
