The Nappy Collective is a grassroots charity providing essential nappies to families in crisis across Australia. We work with community partners nationwide to deliver practical, immediate relief — helping keep babies clean, healthy and supported with dignity.

We are seeking a volunteer with Squarespace experience to support a website redesign (6–8 week engagement), with copy to be provided by our communications partner.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who can help transform our website into a more engaging, user-friendly space that better reflects our impact and makes it easier for people to get involved.

Copy will be provided — your role is to bring it to life through thoughtful design, graphics, strong user experience, and clear pathways for action.

This is a remote volunteer role, commencing as soon as possible, with priority updates needed ahead of our major national campaign launching on 1 May.

Key Responsibilities

• Review our current website and identify opportunities to improve design and user experience
• Note that key pages are being re-written by our communications partner, who will not be working within Squarespace
• Redesign existing pages and build one new landing page in Squarespace to enhance engagement and usability
• Create visually compelling layouts that encourage action (donate, volunteer, get involved)
• Ensure designs are mobile-friendly and aligned with best practice UX principles
• Collaborate with our team to ensure the website reflects our mission and impact

Key Selection Criteria

• Experience designing and building websites in Squarespace
• Understanding of user experience (UX) and engagement-focused design
• Ability to translate provided copy into a compelling and accessible layout
• Strong attention to detail and a creative eye
• Ability to work independently and meet timelines

Time Commitment

• Short-term, project-based volunteer role (6–8 weeks)
• Commencing ASAP, with key deliverables required before 1 May
• Ability to attend brief fortnightly virtual progress meetings during business hours
• All other work can be completed flexibly at times that suit you
