**Transport to Treatment Driver ** *Be part of a team supporting local people affected by cancer get to important appointments or treatment. *

**About the Role ** This role is based in community for a minimum of one day a week for minimum of 12 months. Volunteers work to a monthly roster. Access to email and a mobile smart device is required. Training will be provided and there are vaccination requirements for this position as per Local Health District/Cancer Care Centre requirements.

Key Tasks of the Position Work in a team to transport eligible clients in the Griffith area Driving clients safely to and from treatment appointments Liaising with the Cancer Council Client Services Team for a seamless service delivery Maintaining respectful and confidential communication with clients, team members and the Client Services Team Strong Work Health and Safety awareness and reporting incidents to Cancer Council as soon as possible  Adhere to Cancer Council and Local Health District policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, e.g. vaccinations Use Cancer Council systems to support the delivery of the service and fleet car maintenance

**About You Confident communicator with strong customer service skills   Able to empathise and listen to others  Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills  Knowledge of, and/or a willingness to learn about Cancer Council services and programs  Punctual and reliable to attend rostered shifts
