General Manager of Marketing

Position summary:
With three high-performing student Branches in Melbourne and Sydney supported by a layer of working professional advisors, Global Consulting Group helps not-for-profits and social enterprises solve real-world problems while developing the next generation of talent.
At GCG Headquarters, the General Manager of Marketing will design and develop GCG’s brand, improve exposure through marketing campaigns and creative initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in marketing processes and systems.

In this role, you will:
- Oversee Marketing Strategy: Develop GCG’s yearly marketing strategy and stakeholder segmentation to guide campaigns across HQ and branches.
- Manage GCG Brand: Establish and enforce branding and marketing guidelines, and authorise branch marketing campaigns to ensure brand consistency.
- Lead the Marketing Team: Manage and mentor Marketing Associates, coordinating their work to ensure initiatives align with GCG’s overall marketing strategy.
- Oversee GCG’s External Presence: Manage GCG’s website and social media platforms while identifying opportunities to strengthen brand visibility.
- Analyse Engagement Data: Monitor and interpret marketing performance metrics from branches to continuously improve campaign effectiveness
To be a successful candidate, you will:
- Be passionate about impact and able to contribute meaningfully for 3-6 hours per week with a minimum 1-year commitment
- Have more than 2 years of marketing experience in an organisation with 50+ members.
- Have experience in branding development, keeping up with trending topics, search engine optimisation, and boosting post engagement.
- Prior project management and NFP experience preferred but not necessary.
- Display strong initiative, take ownership of tasks, and confidently lead and support the team.
- Have experience with Canva, campaign creation and managing social media platforms.
