As Treasurer, you will oversee the financial governance of Angel‑Paws and provide strategic advice to support our mission. You’ll work closely with our volunteer finance team, Committee, and external stakeholders to ensure strong financial management and compliance. Key Responsibilities #Financial Leadership & Oversight ● Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis. ● Ensure adequate cash flow and financial sustainability. ● Oversee and support the volunteer finance team. Planning & Strategy ● Develop long‑term financial plans aligned with organisational goals. ● Monitor performance against forecasts and advise the Committee. #Compliance & Governance ● Ensure compliance with GST, payroll tax, FBT, and other tax obligations. ● Oversee superannuation requirements. ● Lodge returns with ASIC, Office of Fair Trading, ATO, and other regulators. ● Maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures. ● Manage bank accounts, signatories, and organisational insurances. #Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement ● Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Committee. ● Annual financial presentation at the AGM ● Support audits and liaise with accountants and auditors. ● Assist with grant budgets and funding proposals. ● Work with operational teams to ensure good financial governance. #Committee Contribution ● Attend monthly online Committee meetings, AGMs, and SGMs as required. ● Provide strategic input to help shape rescue practices and organisational direction. ● Act as an ambassador for Angel‑Paws within the community.
