🚌 Beep Beep, Toot Toot! 🎉
With your help as a mini‑bus driver, elderly residents at HammondCare Darlinghurst Residential Aged Care will enjoy fun and relaxing short outings around the local community 🚐😊.
You’ll be joined by one of our care staff, who will support residents and look after their needs throughout the trip 💛👩⚕️.
- 🕧 Arrival: Volunteer arrives at Darlinghurst at 12:45 pm (weekdays)
- 🚌 Departure: Mini‑bus departs at 1:00 pm
- ⏰ Duration: Outing runs for a couple of hours
- 🌊 Destinations: Visits may include Watsons Bay, Clovelly, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Bondi, and similar spots
- 👥 Group size: Usually 2–4 residents
- ☕ Includes a coffee stop along the way
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
