It is purely about social interaction, connection and conversation so as to provide some joy and pleasure in the life of this lady. A commitment of one hour a fortnight is needed on an ongoing basis so a rapport and trust can be developed between the volunteer and the resident.

The role is very flexible and no set time or day is needed, as long as a fortnightly visit can be met. Individuals who are willing to give a little bit of their time in conversation, who are reliable, patient and compassionate, and have a positive attitude for life are encouraged to apply.
