
Volunteer Call Out: The Retreat 2026
Dear potential volunteer, We’re excited to invite you to be part of The Retreat 2026, an event that promises not only a memorable experience but also a significant impact on Cerebral Palsy Alliance and its groundbreaking work. By volunteering, you will play an essential role in helping us raise over $1 million to support Remarkable, CPA's division accelerating innovative technologies for people with disabilities.
EVENT DETAILS:

Dates: Friday 28 – Sunday 30 August

Venue: RACV Cape Schanck, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

Attendees: C-suite executives from the entertainment, vehicle, and media industries, along with their families.
VOLUNTEER ROLES:
You will be at the heart of this event, contributing to various capacities alongside the Cerebral Palsy Alliance team. Below are some of the roles we’re looking to fill:

Registration Desk Assistants: Welcome guests, manage check-ins, distribute materials (wristbands, maps, agendas), and help sell raffle tickets.

Activity Coordinators: Oversee activities like yoga and winery visits, ensuring all guest needs are met.

Silent Auction Setup & Management: Help set up, manage, and pack down auction displays.

Raffle Ticket Sellers: Engage guests and encourage raffle ticket purchases during the event.

Signage Setup and Pack Down: Assist with placing and removing event signage.

Event Setup & Breakdown (Bump In/Out): Help set up and dismantle event spaces.
-
Golf Guides: Assist with golf-related activities, ensuring guests are informed and prepared.

Kids Club Supervision: Supervise children’s activities. Note: A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required.

Table Hosting at Gala Dinner: Assist guests during the Gala Dinner and help with any needs.

Auction Spotting & Support: Help identify bids during the auction and encourage participation.
ACCOMMODATION:
We are providing shared accommodation for all volunteers at RACV Cape Schanck. Your comfort is a priority, and if you have any specific preferences or needs, let us know so we can make your stay as pleasant as possible.
MEALS:
All meals and refreshments will be provided during the weekend. Please inform us of any dietary requirements to ensure we accommodate your needs.
TRANSPORTATION:
You may be asked to drive your own vehicle to the venue or between locations. If you’re able to assist with this, we’d be grateful. Let us know if you can provide transportation for yourself or others.
UNIFORM & ATTIRE:

Event Days: We’ll provide you with a shirt for the event, and you’ll need to wear black dress pants or a skirt, along with appropriate black shoes.

Gala Dinner: Please bring your own semi-formal/cocktail black outfit for the evening.
