I Am Someone is a Melbourne-based, volunteer-run charity dedicated to empowering orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda, Kenya, and Sierra Leone. About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised volunteer to join our team as a Fundraising Events Manager. In this flexible, part-time role, you’ll help plan and deliver the fundraising events that fuel our impact across the world. You'll collaborate with our small, passionate team to bring a mix of community, online, and special events to life, from concept through to delivery.
What you'll be doing

Event planning - Helping design and coordinate a mix of fundraising events (community gatherings, online events, gala-style evenings, and more)

Logistics coordination - Liaising with venues, suppliers, and volunteers to keep logistics on track

Event promotion - Supporting promotional activities in collaboration with our communications team

Volunteer Coordination - Organise rosters, briefings, and on the day support for event day

Budgeting and reporting - Tracking budgets, registrations, and post-event reporting

Creative input - Bringing fresh ideas and energy to grow our and diversify fundraising calendar
What we're looking for

Strong organisational and communication skills

Experience in event coordination, project management, or a related field (professional or volunteer)

A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently

Comfort using digital tools (email, spreadsheets, online platforms)

Genuine passion for children's welfare and international development

Previous fundraising or not-for-profit experience is a bonus, but not essential
