Green Fox is a Queensland-based not-for-profit and social enterprise delivering training, mentoring, and employment pathways for people facing barriers such as justice system involvement, long-term unemployment, trauma, and social isolation.

We combine hands-on learning, industry projects, and real-world enterprise (including hospitality and social enterprise initiatives) to help people build skills, confidence, and move into meaningful work.

About the role We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Grant Writer to support a high-priority funding application, with the option to stay involved on an ongoing basis.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled grant writer, communications professional, or corporate/pro bono volunteer to contribute to high-impact work in employment, training, and social enterprise.

Key duties

• Write and refine grant applications and funding submissions
• Interpret and respond to grant guidelines and assessment criteria
• Translate program information into clear, compelling, outcomes-focused content
• Align responses with funder priorities, language, and impact measures
• Collaborate with the Green Fox team to strengthen and finalise submissions

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in grant writing, tender writing, or funding submissions
• Strong written communication, editing, and storytelling skills
• Ability to interpret funding criteria and respond strategically
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience in not-for-profit, social enterprise, government, or community sector (highly regarded)
