Join us for the Can4Cancer Walk & Run on Wednesday 16 September, an inspiring and high‑energy event where our community comes together to take meaningful steps toward a future free from cancer. Whether walking or running, every participant is part of something powerful—and our volunteers make it all possible.
The Event
Starting and finishing at the Lakeside Pavilion, Albert Park, the event hub will be buzzing with activity as participants gather, set out, and celebrate their achievement.
- Walkers can choose between a 21 km or 10 km loop through some of Melbourne’s most iconic locations
- Runners will take on a 50 km loop around Albert Park, creating an exciting and dynamic event atmosphere
Volunteers Make It Happen
We’re seeking enthusiastic bike marshals and medical or first aid–certified volunteers (on or off bike) and a dedicated support driver to help deliver a safe, smooth, and supportive event.
- Bike marshals will guide and encourage participants, helping keep the course safe and flowing
- First aiders/medics will help ensure a safe and supported event by assisting participant wellbeing and provide first aid, as required.
- Support driver (12‑seater bus) will transport crew, deliver lunches and snacks, and help maintain a positive, high‑energy atmosphere across the course
These are hands-on, rewarding roles that keep the event moving and ensure participants feel supported at every stage.
