About Us The Lupus Foundation of Australasia is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by lupus and related autoimmune conditions. Through advocacy, education, research partnerships, and community support, we aim to raise awareness, encourage early diagnosis, improve patient outcomes, and work towards a future cure for lupus. The Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Non-Executive Board Director to join our Board in a voluntary governance capacity.

We are particularly looking for an individual with extensive experience in the charity, marketing, and corporate partnerships sectors who can help guide the Foundation’s growth, visibility, and long-term sustainability.

This role would strengthen the Board’s capability in areas such as: • Corporate partnerships and sponsorship strategy. • Brand growth, marketing, and public awareness campaigns. • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management. • Fundraising and donor engagement strategies. • Strategic growth and positioning of a developing national charity.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the Foundation. • Provide expertise in corporate partnerships, marketing, fundraising, or brand development. • Support the Foundation in identifying and developing strategic partnerships with businesses, health organisations, and community stakeholders. • Act as an ambassador for the Foundation, promoting our mission and increasing awareness of lupus. • Attend Board meetings (6 per year, online) and contribute to Board discussions and initiatives.

About You

We are seeking someone who brings: • Significant senior-level experience in the charity, marketing, communications, sponsorship, or corporate partnerships sectors. • A strong network and understanding of corporate engagement and relationship management. • Strategic thinking and the ability to support the growth of a purpose-driven organisation. • Understanding of governance and the responsibilities of a Board Director. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for people living with lupus and autoimmune disease.
