Aviation Career Explorer (ACE) Coordinator
The Aviation Career Explorer (ACE) Coordinator plays a key role in delivering WAI Australia’s national aviation career exploration program for high school students. ACE is designed to introduce young people, especially girls and underrepresented groups to the full spectrum of aviation and aerospace careers through hands‑on activities, industry engagement, and real‑world exposure.
As the ACE Coordinator, you will help bring this program to life by coordinating school engagement, supporting facilitators, managing logistics, and ensuring each ACE session runs smoothly and safely. You will work closely with the Education Chair, industry partners, teachers, and volunteers to create meaningful, inspiring experiences that showcase the breadth of opportunities across aviation, aerospace, defence, and airport operations.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising, communicating, and working with young people and educators. You don’t need to be an aviation expert — just someone who is passionate about helping students discover pathways, break stereotypes, and build confidence in exploring aviation careers.
You will help shape the future workforce by supporting a program that connects students with pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, technicians, cabin crew, airport professionals, and many more. Through ACE, you will help students see themselves in aviation and open doors to opportunities they may never have considered.
This is a rewarding volunteer role that offers the chance to make a real impact, build industry connections, and contribute to a national program that is growing rapidly across Australia.
