Charity Fun Run Course Marshals and Venue Assistants
About the Opportunity
Run2Cure Brisbane is a fun run and family event raising vital funds for research into neuroblastoma — a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. As a volunteer, you'll play a key role in delivering a safe, enjoyable, and uplifting event for participants, families, and the broader community.
Volunteer Roles & Duties
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our event across a variety of roles:
Run Course Marshals (Sunday 16 August, along the Brisbane River)
Be part of the action on the course! You'll direct participants, cheer them on, and ensure they stay on the right path. Ideal for those who enjoy being outdoors and encouraging others.
Water Station Assistants (Sunday 16 August)
Keep our runners refreshed and energised! You'll help set up the station, hand out water, and keep the area tidy.
Venue Assistants (Sunday 16 August, New Farm)
Based at the venue hub in New Farm Park, you might be deployed to present medals, cut up fruit, check in the athletes, amongst other tasks - doing whatever is required to keep the event ticking along.
Skills & Experience
No previous experience is required – just a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to help. Clear communication and teamwork are essential across all roles. Full briefings will be provided before your shift.
