Volunteer with Suncorp Spirit to Cure 2026 | Same Spirit. Bigger Impact

Suncorp Spirit to Cure is a powerful fundraising initiative supporting life‑saving cancer research, support and prevention through our partnership with Tour de Cure.

Over the past six years, our incredible community of riders, walkers, runners, swimmers and volunteers has made a real difference in helping fund six cancer research breakthroughs and raising millions to change lives.

In 2026, you can be part of what comes next.

This year, we’re aiming to raise $1.7 million, contributing to a total impact of $9.7 million for Tour de Cure. It’s a bold goal but together, we know what’s possible.

About the Event

The Suncorp Spirit to Cure Ride is a memorable multi‑day cycling experience through some of Australia’s most scenic coastal routes:

  • Day 0: Byron Bay
  • Day 1: Byron Bay → Kingscliff
  • Day 2: Kingscliff loop ride
  • Day 3: Kingscliff → Brisbane

This event brings together passion, purpose and community, united by a shared goal to cure cancer and change lives.

Volunteer Roles Available

Pre‑Event Support (before the ride)

Help us prepare for a safe and successful event. Roles may include:

  • Packing rider kits and event supplies
  • Assisting with logistics and equipment organisation
  • Supporting event administration

On‑Event Support Crew (during the ride)

Support crew roles are specialised and limited. We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified medical professionals to join the tour.

Submitting an EOI does not guarantee placement. Our team carefully matches volunteers based on experience, availability and event requirements.

Post‑Event Support (after the ride)

Help wrap up the event efficiently and safely:

  • Unloading vehicles and sorting equipment
  • Assisting with pack‑down
  • Preparing items for storage and return

Why Volunteer?

  • Contribute directly to life‑changing cancer research
  • Be part of a meaningful, purpose‑driven initiative
  • Support an inspiring community event
  • Gain hands‑on experience in logistics and event operations
  • Work alongside a passionate and supportive team
