Multicultural Event Planner
Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc (LMA) and Kinds of Happiness Inc (KOH) are volunteer-driven organisations dedicated to supporting at-risk youth across Victoria.
Through community markets, mentorship, scholarships, and sustainable agriculture programs, they aim to create inclusive opportunities that empower young people to thrive. With a strong focus on community, respect, and growth, the organisations bring together passionate volunteers to make a meaningful and lasting impact.
Imagine helping bring a vibrant multicultural market to life — the planning, the people, the celebration. Our LMA volunteer team does exactly that, and there is a spot with your name on it!
If you love organising events, enjoy connecting with people, and want to make a real difference for young people from rural and regional backgrounds, we would love to hear from you.
This is a flexible, volunteer opportunity with the chance to be part of a dedicated, supportive, and fun team. You will work remotely with the need to be available to attend events in person as required.

You will be part of something bigger — helping shape fundraising and community events that create real opportunities for young people in rural and regional Australia.
Working alongside a passionate team, you will contribute to planning vibrant, culturally rich experiences — from coordinating event details and engaging sponsors, to helping craft memorable moments that bring communities together.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend training, orientation sessions, and team meetings as required
- Research, connect with, and liaise with multicultural vendors, delegates, activity providers, entertainers, local makers, stallholders, businesses, community groups, associations, and on-site staff to coordinate event details and ensure smooth operations
- Maintain event calendars and track key deadlines
- Maintain vendor licences and compliance documentation in accordance with relevant rules and regulations
- Respond to event-related enquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with internal teams to support event promotions and registrations
- Maintain accurate records and shared documentation to support team visibility and coordination
We are looking for someone who:
- Willingness to learn, develop, remaster skills and build strong professional connection with other volunteers
- Clear, friendly, and professional written communication
- Attention to detail and ability to juggle tasks
- Reliable, proactive and self motivated
- Comfortable supporting online meetings, shared documentation, and digital tools like Google Workspace
- enthusiasm and commitment matter most
What You’ll Gain:
- Valuable experience in event planning and fundraising
- Opportunities to build your professional network and skills
- Volunteer flexibly around your existing commitments
- The chance to make a real difference for young people from rural and regional communities
- A supportive team culture you'll actually enjoy
