Want to do something meaningful this July? Come game for a cause.

Cure Cancer is an official charity partner of AVCon 2026, Adelaide's annual anime and gaming festival, and we're looking for passionate, high-energy volunteers to join our Game On Cancer® booth on 4 and 5 July 2026.

Game On Cancer® is a community-powered fundraising movement that brings together gamers, streamers, cosplayers, and creators to fund groundbreaking cancer research. To date, our community has raised more than $2.4 million to help accelerate research across all cancer types. AVCon is a brilliant opportunity to bring that mission to life, connect with thousands of attendees, and be part of something truly exciting.

What you'll be doing Depending on your skills and interests, you could be:

• Managing our booth: engaging with event attendees, inviting people to participate, taking donations, and being the friendly, enthusiastic face of Game On Cancer®
• Creating content: capturing the energy of the event through video, social content, or livestreaming
• Photographing and filming: documenting the booth, the people, and the moments that tell our story

Who we're looking for You don't need to be a seasoned volunteer or have charity experience. You do need to be:

• Enthusiastic, approachable, and comfortable engaging with the public
• Passionate about gaming, pop culture, or making a difference (or all three!)
• Reliable and committed to your nominated shift(s)

Bonus points if you have experience in content creation, photography, videography, or community engagement.
