As a Christmas Event Helper, you will work closely with the Event Coordinator to assist with the planning, organisation, and delivery of the Foundation's Christmas Day Event. You will help ensure all aspects of the event are prepared, coordinated, and ready to create a memorable experience for our guests and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordinating Christmas Day event activities.

  • Support the sourcing and organisation of event resources, donations, and supplies.

  • Liaise with volunteers, community groups, supporters, and stakeholders.

  • Assist with volunteer coordination and communication.

  • Provide administrative support, including record keeping, data entry, and scheduling.

  • Help identify and resolve event planning challenges.

  • Assist with event set-up, pack-down, and on-the-day operations.

  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the guest experience.

  • Support promotional and engagement activities leading up to the event.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Driver's Licence.

  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).

  • Commitment to the values and mission of the Bill Crews Foundation.

Desirable

  • Current First Aid Certificate, or willing to obtain one.

  • Previous volunteer coordination experience.

  • Experience supporting large-scale community events.

Impact of this role: This volunteer role plays a vital part in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Foundation's major Christmas campaign and events. By assisting with event preparation, administration, stakeholder engagement, and logistics, 'You' the volunteer helps ensure we can provide meals, companionship, gifts, and festive experiences to people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation. Your contribution strengthens our capacity to deliver a meaningful and dignified Christmas celebration for thousands of community members while supporting the successful execution of one of the Foundation's most significant annual initiatives.
