Volunteer Recruitment Advisor

Short Back & Sidewalks is a not-for-profit providing free haircuts and meaningful connection to people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation.
We're looking for a Volunteer Recruitment Advisor to help us grow and strengthen our volunteer community by attracting people who are passionate about making a difference.
Working closely with our Operations Team to help identify new recruitment opportunities, promote volunteer roles, and support recruitment strategies that ensure we have the right volunteers in the right roles.
In this role, you will:
- Provide advice and support to strengthen our volunteer recruitment strategies and processes.
- Help identify new ways to attract skilled, passionate and diverse volunteers.
- Review and enhance volunteer advertisements and recruitment messaging to increase engagement.
- Build relationships with community groups, businesses, education providers and volunteer networks to promote volunteering with SBSW.
- Support the promotion and recruitment of volunteers across a range of roles and locations.
- Share ideas and recommendations to help grow and strengthen our volunteer pipeline.
- Work collaboratively with our Operations Team to ensure we continue to attract and retain amazing volunteers.
We're looking for someone who:
• Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, volunteer management, or community engagement would be wonderful but not essential
• Enjoys connecting people with meaningful opportunities
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Thinks strategically and enjoys solving recruitment challenges
