Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc. (LMA) is a registered charity and not-for-profit (PBI/DGR, ACNC registered) organisation that brings communities together through family- focused fundraisers, markets  and events across Victoria. All proceeds support Kinds of Happiness (KOH), empowering disadvantaged regional and rural youth through mentoring, farming, and life skills programs. This children's program is our core focus (around 80% of our activity), alongside support for Indigenous culture programs, aspiring students, and local community initiatives.  Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. ROLE PURPOSE

To act as a trusted strategic finance partner to the committee of Lifestyle Markets Australia Inc., providing specialist PBI/DGR compliance expertise while reshaping financial reporting frameworks, developing forecasts and budgets, and guiding the organisation's short- and long-term financial goals — ensuring its financial sustainability while meeting ACNC, PBI, and DGR obligations. This is a role requiring genuine commitment and continuity — given the strategic nature of the position and the trust placed in it by the executives and ACNC, we are seeking a dedicated volunteer able to commit to at least 12 months in the role, ensuring consistency across reporting cycles and audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reshape, mold, and develop financial reporting for the committee, ACNC, and ATO.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with PBI and DGR-specific obligations, alongside broader ACNC and charity regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor short-, medium-, and long-term financial forecasts and budgets.
• Advise the committee on financial strategy, planning, and risk management.
• Present funding and investment recommendations to the management committee.
• Support grant submissions with financial data, forecasts, and supporting reports.
• Work in conjunction with the rest of the finance team to ensure day-to-day figures align with strategic budgets.
• Provide financial governance guidance to the Executives..
• Review annual financial reports.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Qualified Accountant (CPA/CA or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience working with PBI and DGR registered charities.
• Strong understanding of ACNC governance and reporting obligations.
• Proven experience in financial strategy, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to a volunteer committee/board.
• Willingness and ability to commit to the role for a minimum of 12 months given the strategic and relationship-based nature of the position.

Desirable

• Prior board or committee advisory experience in the NFP/charity sector.
• Experience supporting grant applications with financial data and forecasts.
• Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting/financial management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting, data analysis, reconciliations and record management.
• Experience in the community events, multicultural, or regional youth support space
