Help Make a Difference as a Hungarian-Speaking Volunteer Companion

We have a lovely older Hungarian lady who would love to welcome a kind and friendly visitor into her life — someone to share stories, enjoy a cup of tea, and build a meaningful connection.
She is a sweet, funny and caring person with a lifetime of experiences to share. She enjoys cooking and baking, picking flowers, feeding the birds, listening to Elvis music, dancing, going for walks, and having a good chat with someone who can bring a little extra joy to her day.
We are looking for a Hungarian-speaking male volunteer who is patient, compassionate and enjoys connecting with older people. A shared language and cultural background would help create a special bond.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) supports older people to reduce social isolation and develop meaningful friendships through regular visits.
If you have an hour a week or even a fortnight to spare and would love to make a positive difference in someone's life, we would love to hear from you.
