Visitor Guide Volunteer

As a KCA Visitor Guide you will play a key role in educating the public about Koala Conservation Australia’s vital conservation efforts and raising awareness of the challenges facing koalas. Through guided tours, presentations, and one-on-one interactions, this role informs and inspires visitors to act in supporting koala conservation.
This role not only enhances the visitor experience but also drives engagement by promoting donations, fostering a deeper connection between the public and the mission of Koala Conservation Australia.

Previous experience in hospitality and tourism an advantage.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Educate visitors on koalas and KCA’s conservation efforts, providing accurate information based on the Guide Manual and official KCA resources.
- Enhance the visitor experience by engaging with guests, answering questions, and providing informative insights during visiting hours.
- Promote donations and koala adoptions, emphasizing KCA’s reliance on public support for its conservation work.
- Deliver paid guided tours and presentations in line with KCA scripts and materials, offering detailed information about koalas.
- Maintain cleanliness in visitor interaction areas, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions, while adhering to work health and safety policies.
