Serbian-Speaking Volunteer Needed to Visit an Older Person

We're looking for a caring Serbian-speaking volunteer to visit an older woman living in a residential aged care facility in Carramar. While she enjoys the company of others, nothing compares to hearing her first language and sharing conversation with someone who understands her culture.
Your visits don't need to be complicated. You might enjoy a coffee together, take a gentle stroll through the garden, watch a Serbian program, or simply spend time chatting and laughing about everyday life. Sometimes, the best visits are the simplest ones.
For her, having someone to look forward to means so much. A familiar conversation, a shared laugh, and the comfort of speaking Serbian can brighten her day and help her feel connected to her community.
Just one visit each week or fortnight can grow into a meaningful friendship. The time you give may only be an hour or two, but the difference it makes can last much longer.
No previous volunteering experience is required—just kindness, a listening ear, and the ability to speak Serbian.
All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and complete a National Police Check. You'll receive ongoing training, guidance, and support from your Program Coordinator every step of the way.
If you'd love to share your language, your time, and your friendship with someone who would truly appreciate it, we'd love to hear from you.
